How do the different BAC tests compare to each other?

The breath test, sometimes known as a “Breathalyzer” test, is the most often used, since it is convenient for police officers and can be administered at the police station. The blood and urine tests must usually be conducted at a hospital. There are also varying degrees of accuracy associated with the three different tests, with the blood test usually considered most accurate, and the urine test the least. The breath test lies somewhere between blood and urine tests in terms of accuracy, and is notable because it can only be used to detect the presence of alcohol, whereas blood and urine tests may reveal the presence of other drugs or substances.
